TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

 

By ordering from us you are accepting these Terms and Conditions.

 

PRODUCT

 

Cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other treats in the kitchen of Cakes by Alyanna are made by hand accordingly. In all cases we will try to contact you to inform you of any changes. We have the right to make alterations to the design, appearance and technical specifications of our cakes from time to time.

 

 

ALLERGIES

It is your responsibility to inform us of allergies to any ingredients that may be used in the cakes or cookies. Please be aware that while your chosen product may not be made with nuts or a nut product, it will be prepared in a kitchen where nut products may be used in other cakes and fillings. 

 

 

CHANGES IN ORDER

 

Your cake is very important to us so please take the time to check the details of your order carefully. It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes required to your original order. We will accommodate any changes when possible and might have to increase the price quoted for any extra work required. 

 

For cupcakes, we require a 3 to 7 day lead time, depending on the complexity of the design.

For celebration/wedding cakes, we require a week up to a month lead time depending on the complexity of the design.

 

If you wish to cancel your order, this must be done the soonest.  Downpayments are non-refundable and non-transferable in the event of cancellation.

 

PAYMENT

 

A downpayment amounting to half of the total bill is required to represent confirmation of order. Remaining balance is to be paid on or before delivery or pick up date. Please note that we will not proceed with your order if downpayment is not settled. 

 

 

DELIVERY

Deliveries are subject to availability and will require extra fee depending on the location.  Delivery should be requested at the time of ordering for proper scheduling.

It is your obligation to ensure that you have provided correct delivery information, including the name and complete address. For venues like hotels, condos and other events place, Cakes by Alyanna will not take any responsibility for  coordination with hotel or venue personnel in seeking entry passes and other clearance form.

We reserve the right to cancel deliveries due to extreme weather conditions, heavy floods or any other nature related causes beyond our control.

 

CAKE CONDITION 

 

We ensure that your cake is presented at its very best. Please note that fondant cakes are sometimes not weather friendly,  humidity due to rain causes it to moist. We would recommend to have it placed inside an airconditioned room. On delivery we will make the recipient aware of any non-edible items included within the cake that must be removed before the cake is cut and served. If we are to set up the cake at the venue we will take photographs of the cake before leaving. 

Cakes by Alyanna will not be held responsible for any damage after delivery and set up is complete.

 

WARRANTY

 

We are unable to make a warranty as to the length of time for which the cakes will remain fit for consumption. In order to keep a cake that is covered in fondant in a perfect condition it must be stored out of sunlight and at room temperature, these are best eaten up to 1 week after delivery. Fondant covered cakes should not be refrigerated as this will cause the fondant icing to sweat. 

Because of their perishable nature, cakes, cupcakes and cookies are non-returnable. 

 

PROBLEMS AND COMPLAINTS

 

We genuinely care about every cake and work hard to try and ensure your expectations are met. We want you to love your cake and will correct or repair it, on the same day where possible.  You must notify us of the problem within one hour of accepting the cake.

 

CAKE DESIGN

 

The ownership of the cake design remains with cake. This is important because it means that we have the right to publish and sell the cake design to other clients. During the consultation process the client views a range of existing cake designs from Cakes by Alyanna. The client selects a design, variation of a design or part/combinations of various designs.

 

We have the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions from time to time.
